So every year I make a cheesecake to celebrate our half anniversary on the 23rd. It's really just an excuse to eat cheesecake, haha. This year I made a chocolate chip cookie dough one, and made extra cookie dough to make these truffles. The cake is for tomorrow, but I'm hoping the truffles will provide good motivation for the kids to eat their dinner tonight! I was actually feeling a little silly making a big deal out of an anniversary that I don't think anyone else pays attention to, but hey, it's never silly to celebrate a marriage, or to celebrate answered prayers. The Lord has been good to us, and it's a good thing to stop, acknowledge that, and give thanks to Him.
