John and I have not been able to go out on a date since we've had kids, something we hope to change soon as Luke is sleeping much better now, but in the meantime we do stuff at home. Typically after the kids are in bed we watch an episode or two of whatever show we are watching on Netflix, and or, talk. Often that time will include a glass of wine and some cheese. We love picking up a few special blocks at the cheese plant to enjoy, favorites are aged jack and cheddar. ...so good. So I decided to play with a cheeseball recipe to make a yummy spread for a little variety! I mixed 2 packages of cream cheese (which happen to be only 89 cents at Aldi right now), a handful of grated cheddar, a package of Aldi ranch seasoning (no msg), half a package of Aldi real bacon bits, then about a teaspoon of minced dried onion, and I also added some chives from our garden. Chill and then serve with crackers, or pretzels and wine. Delicious!
This is about half eaten here! |
