My day began with day #3 of a migraine, freaking out because how was I going to do everything, plus adding a third child for the next 4 days, that evening, plus my "official" headache days/cycle hadn't even begun yet so I knew there was probably a lot of days of pain ahead. We pushed through though, had a nice skype date with cousins, made a father's day card with Caroline......and nap time came. I was lying down when a huge storm came through....

....had to wake this guy up and head to the basement because of the huge storm. Storm is passed and we are safe, but no power. |

"Mom, look my shoes still have power!"Trying to explain why lights, fans, internet don't work when the power is out.....and she realized the flashing lights on her shoes still worked. Someone is a little confused, lol
At that point John took the kids to town to run an errand and pick up pizza. A lot of other people had the same idea as there was a 45 minute wait at Little Ceasers! They also decided to leave Hunter with his mom where there was power. Mom remembered she had some codeine and lay down while they were gone.

Power outage = Caroline's favorite dinner, "pizza in a box!"
After we ate John got the generator going since we weren't predicted to get power back till 1am. Just as he finished the power came on. So we had worship, bathed the kids, cleaned up the kitchen, got everyone to bed. At 9:30 we were relaxing watching an episode of 24 when......we lost power again. Tears.....from the kids who lost their nightlight and fan. Lots of comfort and reassurance, John rigged up a fan on a battery and he and I went to bed praying the power would come back on before the battery died. First world problems...but by now my headache was really bad and there was no way I could sleep with no fan. But at 11 the power came back on and we all happily went to sleep with our fans and air conditioning! What a day. |
