When I tell Caroline to do something and she has already started it, "But I am are already, Mama!"
We were discussing birthdays at dinner and I was bemoaning how few birthdays I have left before my 40th.....Caroline patted my shoulder, "It's ok, Mama. It's just a birthday."
I was cutting slices of apple pie and Luke was having a hard time waiting. John told him to, "Chill, Dukie. Hold your horses. It'll be here soon."
Caroline reminded Luke to, "Chill his horses," through the rest of the evening.
Caroline disappeared into her room and a few minutes later John called after her, "What are you doing?"
Caroline replied, "I'm pouting."
Caroline replied, "I'm pouting."
Me holding a crying Caroline, "What's wrong, honey?"
Sobs, "I don't know."
