Saying I'm sorry

Saying I'm sorry is the first step,
then how can I help?

PSA -
Please be willing to say you are sorry.
If you mess up, admit it and apologize.
If you realize you inconvenienced someone - apologize.
If someone tells you that you hurt them,
EVEN IF IT WAS ACCIDENTAL, apologize.
Don't make a joke out of it.
Don't put the blame on someone else.
Don't belittle the person who is hurting to make yourself feel better.
Simply apologize.
These are things I'm teaching Caroline and Luke, but out in the world I'm appalled by how few people are willing to admit wrongdoing and apologize.
We're all sinners here.
We all mess up.
But I know speaking for myself I have far more respect for the person who can humbly say, "I'm sorry."

On the topic, I'm so grateful to say that lately Caroline has been seeking out people she sinned against and apologizing all on her own. It's so encouraging to see her do this!

John's birthday

Birthday cake!

Fun times celebrating John's birthday with friends this evening at Nakashima!

Caroline was scared at first but she got over it.

So many answered prayers

Every Lord's day I get to join in the public worship of God with these two snuggled on either side of me. So many answered prayers are pictured here.
❤The Lord is so kind.❤

Murder

So this month legislaters in New York decided that is is perfectly acceptable to kill babies up until birth. There was joy, celebration, clapping......and all I think of is this passage and song from when I was a kid.

It's disgusting, horrible, evil, satanic, and a scary world to be raining children in.

January school

For whatever reason I didn't take many school pictures this month, but it went really well and Caroline is reading EVERYTHING!
I can't believe I am buying first grade curriculum!

We learned quarter hours and counting by fives.

and LOTS of special sounds.
