Snow day

We had our first measurable snow of the year yesterday. It made for somewhat messy driving conditions going to church, but the kids had a great time going out in it after naps. They lasted longer than I though they would, and for the record, Luke wouldn't keep a hat on.
I made then hot chocolate which was at least as exciting as the snow :-)

Luke praying

I'm fine

Big girl bed

We set up Caroline's big girl bed on Saturday.
She asked to start reading a story before bed. I think we'll make that our Bible story time.
We have a light on a timer and she is allowed to get up when it turns on.
What her room looks like now. Eventually Luke will be in here all the time (that's his dresser next to her bed), but for now he is in the pack and play and sleeps in there, or in Hunter's room depending on the day.

November days

We had some beautiful weather in November.
A family portrait :-)
They like to help me vacuum!
Reading books together.
Reading with Daddy.
She looks like me!
Real life.
Trading hats.

The new fun toy is my old broken camera. It's hilarious how Luke mimics me, "Say cheese! Good job! That's a good one."

Jumping!
That ponytail!
So handsome.
Waiting at the doctor's office.
Duke loves deer shining.
And borrowing his sister's hat, lol.
We love crib time.
Taking a walk.
Water-wow.

Where did my baby go? She looks so grown up with her messy ponytail, and bootcut jeans ♡

Very important rule. When this boy gets up from his nap, get food into him asap. If you fail you end up with a hungry tiger who is literally too crabby to eat. Trust me, it's bad. And yes, this child eats the end slice off the loaf, Caroline, on the other hand, will rarely eat a crust.

Wearing his gun,, just like Daddy.
Play dough.
Watching Pooh.
At the beach.

A conversation with my children this morning

A conversation with my children this morning,
Luke, "A cookie, please?"
Me, "We don't have any. Sorry, Duke."
Caroline, "No cookies. It's a pain. A pain that lasts forever, Dukie."
Forever, or until after lunch, when Mama remembers she stashed some of her last batch of cookies in the freezer for later ;-)

Such a time as this

My buys from the Amazon sale.
This book was so much nicer than I expected!
Love!!
